Our Course

Welcome!

Ennis GC is an immaculately manicured 18-hole, Par 70, parkland course.

It's tree lined fairways and tight greens present a considerable challenge, while it's relatively even terrain of 5724m make it an ideal course for the holiday and society golfer.

We would love you to view our hole-by-hole course guide with tips from our Club Professional, Martin Ward

Hole 1

Men: Par 4 - 309M - Index 8 - Ladies: Par 4 - 305M - Index 5

Driver or long iron to the left of the Fairway, gives a better line to the green which slopes from right to left

Hole 2

Men: Par 3 - 110M - Index 18 - Ladies: Par 3 - 110M - Index 17

Short hole with big green. Aim over front bunker to the center of the green to give yourself a good birdie chance

Hole 3

Men: Par 4 - 305M - Index 12 - Ladies: Par 4 - 298M - Index 7

Tight driving hole - may be better with rescue- or long-iron off the tee. Mid- to short-iron over the drain to the green. Avoid going over the green where a large bunker awaits.

Hole 4

Men: Par 4 - 268M - Index 14 - Ladies: Par 4 - 260M - Index 9

Drive short of fairway bunkers, leaving a short iron to a slightly raised green with bunkers both right and left. Good birdie chance

Hole 5

Men: Par 4 - 331M - Index 6 - Ladies: Par 4 - 324M - Index 1

Slight dogleg, left to right. Drive left of fairway bunkers, leaving second shot down hill to a small green. In summer-time, land short of the green as the ball will run.

Hole 6

Men: Par 4 - 414M - Index 2 - Ladies: Par 5 - 408M - Index 11

Drive to the right-side of the fairway as it slopes right to left. Long 2nd shot and aim right-side of the green. A par is a good score on this hole

Hole 7

Men: Par 3 - 139M - Index 10 - Ladies: Par 3 - 132M - Index 13

Small narrow green - aim left-half of green as bank slopes left to right. Difficult pitch-shot if you miss green on left

Hole 8

Men: Par 4 - 348M - Index 4 - Ladies: Par 4 - 321M - Index 3

Good drive required with second shot to long, 3-tiered green. Good golf hole.

Hole 9

Men: Par 5 - 479M - Index 16 - Ladies: Par 5 - 371M - Index 15

Reachable in two - if not, lay-up short of fairway bunkers leaving a short-iron third shot to a two-tiered green. Good birdie chance

Hole 10

Men: Par 4 - 338M - Index 5 - Ladies: Par 4 - 279M - Index 4

Drive to left-side of fairway as long drives over the hill will run left to right. Second shot to a well bunkered green, with out-of-bounds close to right-side of green.

Hole 11
